Well ladies it is official
Jay is married! In a simple ceremony
with some pomp and circumstance and some screaming children Jay
married his beloved Kareen on Saturday. We sent him off with a bang
and a song. His stag will be better remembered
than his wedding for some. From all of us Jay once again congratulations,
enjoy the honeymoon and don't fall off the boat, we still need you!
-
With the wedding Embrace
has been in a sort of limbo so Jay could
have his special moment. For those of you who visit the site regularily
have noticed. Now that the wedding is in the books Embrace will be
back out terrorizing goats and crowds alike throughout Western Canada,
check the Tour page to see where you can find Embrace
near you. If you can not find Embrace playing near you phone your
local club owner and ask him why not? We ask you to just please do not
warn your local Goat farmers.
-
Marvin
recently finished 2nd in the provincial Ironman sprint distance, congratulations
Marvin. Really we do not know where
he finds the time?

playoffs. So what does that mean? GO HARTFORD!

Over 700 people came
through the doors of That
Bar in Prince Albert on Saturday Night not
bad considering capacity is 260.
-
Met some new friends
in Gary and Jason from Zoo2/Lemon(same
band different shows) partied and jammed like it was 1999. Jason
showed us his dissappearing Blonde trick. The worst part is he wouldn't
teach it to us, maybe next time.
-
Flatland
Music Festival application will be submitted tomorrow.
-
No word on NewMusicWest,
I wonder if they got our bribe?
-
Brad
received a new nickname we would like it if you refer to him as "Crazy
Uncle" Brad.

Z99's Big Party 3 will

We never made it past
the first round of the Motley Crue
January
19th,1999
-
Well we played for Bruce
Bromley of the S.L. Feldman Agency
and he actually remembered Grant and Brad
from a few years ago. Bruce sat down and had a meal with them after
a showcase at Chaser's. He also remembered the ice scraper that used
to accompany all of the New Sky Embrace promo packs. Funnier thing
is he wasn't traumitized by eating with Grant and Brad, "you gonna eat
that Pally?" Overall he didn't dislike our show.
-
Cable
Regina's E-Clips conducted an interview with Jay
and Brad on Friday January 15th the air
date is unconfirmed. You will also see the band's manager Terry putting
his 2 cents in there. E-Clips also shot some of the performance on
Saturday so watch your local
listings!
-
Motley
Crue is having a contest with the
Wolf, HMV and
the Leader Post to select the
opening band for the upcoming Crue show in Saskatoon
on Febraury 20th. Of course we have entered so come on out cheer
us on. Maybe we will have a contest to be a roadie with Embrace at
Motley
Crue if we win, stay tuned!
-
The Rock n Roll shinny
games are on hold so we can unite the usual participants to compete as
a team in the Bulyea
Winter Carnival shinny tournament. Bad news with one of our two starting
goalies, Slas, is unavailable. This is like sending Team
Canada to the Olympics
without Martin
Brodeur or Patrick Roy. Greg "Dominik"
Bodnarchuk is still between the pipes so goaltending is not an issue. The
Rock n Roll Shinny games will resume after Terry returns from Nicaragua
at the end of February.
-
Sad news, the 11
game win streak of the Ottawa
Senators came to a crashing halt at the hands of the Philadelphia
Flyers last night. Damian
Rhodes had his personal 6 game win streak halted. Now that the
standing unbeaten record is 11 why not make it 12? This win streak
also caused some friction between band and management as Terry's Sens
beat Mike's Devils
three times during this streak and upon this achievement placed a Senators
goalie mask to the back window (ala the Baby on Baord signs) of Charlie
Brown. By the way Charlie Brown is A Sens
fan.

New Years was an intimate
blast we didn't sell out the Other
Side but we had fun frivolity and the best part no one got nude!
Same goes for the Wide Mouth Mason
show on Boxing Day, sell out crowd and WMM was very accomadating.
We have had acts with less success cop way more attitude than the guys
in WMM. Thanks again Shaun,
Earl
and Safwan
-
GAME ON the Rock
n Roll Shinny games are BACK the first game of 1999 will take place January
10th at the Old McGuigan High School parking lot at 2 p.m. if it is cold
bring some warm gear!
-
Marvin
caught some fish the other day whilst out in the Red Green shack
-
Terry swept the weekend
series of band/management NHL showdowns his Senators
beat Jay's Capitals
4-3 and shut out Mike's Devils
6-0 and Damian
Rhodes even pitched in a goal. Terry isn't bragging or nothing!
-
This leaves for Manufacturing
as soon as the art is finished in Saskatoon with Derek Bachman.
-
The annual SIAST cabaret
in Moose Jaw is this Friday OH BOY
December
11th, 1998
-
Well it has been a while
since our old site on WBM in fact so long
that WBM doesn't even provide internet
service anymore.
-
The shows
are picking up for the festive season. With January
looking real good. We night have an incredible boxing day if all
goes well. So cross your fingers!
-
We have also been in
contact with a band in the UK who are using our name in Canada we will
keep you posted. Hey we are both in this rock n roll game so if we
can work it out peacefully that would be great. But that is all I
will say on the matter.
-
The Rock n Roll Shinny
games have been postponed until January Christmas
is just to busy to keep the bi-monthly event rolling.
